You know, books, movies, audiobooks like the book above! Basically some sort of list for those that want to learn about cars in one form or another.
I also need audiobooks because I do a lot of driving on highways for an hour+ and I am sitting on a bus for an hour a day doing nothing. So ahhhhh anyone know what books about cars have good audiobooks?
Finally Chun-Li. . .

An oldie but goodie- "Going Faster-Mastering the Art of Race Driving" by the Skip Barber Racing School

Hmmmm interesting. . . I always like to daydream that I am race car driver, so this might help. Oh and autocrossing as well.

I have this book, and it's the best read I've had for a long time.

See, when Jalopnik says you have to read it, you have to read it.

Yes Yes Yes. Fantastic book. Came away with a hell of a lot more respect for Ford (not that they need any more), a better appreciation for Henry II, and the knowledge of the underrated racer/engineer/all around badass Ken Miles. Read it.

As the title says, Driving on the Edge. Covers pretty much every part of driving fast, from racing line to race craft to setup. Everything is explained very logically. Never play Forza 4 or cart without it. Trust me, it's good.

I really want an audiobook version just so I can listen to it while driving.

I would also recommend getting a hard copy. Hard to refer to certain sections (for various reason) by just using an audiobook.

I am a cheap bastard and will probably just buy the book. Which apparently is good, as it has been recommended twice here, and a few more times as well.

I'm fairly certain that at least a working knowledge of English is required to gain entrance to medical school.
As a stereotypical Indian, you realize you will have to learn how to English gud before becoming a Doctor. :p

Hahaha, I am doing something just as stereotypical as becoming a doctor. I am becoming an engineer! Muhahaha
Also I learned english while selling curry to the white hipsters to pay my way though college.

I have a couple of recommendations. The first is "Driving with the Devil" by Neal Thompson.
It's an excellent book about Raymond Parks, a moonshiner and one of the most successful car owners during the early days of southern stock car racing. The book covers the exciting time before and during the birth of NASCAR.
My other recommendation is "The Last Open Road" series by Burt S. Levy.
The lead characters in these books are fictitious, but the stories play out in the real world of street cars and auto racing during the 1950's and 1960's. The first book is mainly about an early 1950's gas station and sports car racing in the Northeast. Later books enter the worlds of oval track racing, La Carrera Panamericana, land speed record racing, and Volkswagen's entry into the U.S.

I own many books about NASCAR and stock car racing. One day I was just browsing at my local bookstore when I saw "Driving with the Devil". Since it covers a time period that is not well covered in the other books in my collection I decided to get it. "The Last Open Road" series, I can't remember how I found out those books. It may have been an Amazon.com recommendation, or I may have looked up automotive fiction on there. After reading "The Last Open Road", I quickly ordered the rest of the series.

I try to find books. . . I just end up finding "Top 10 fastest cars, for kids edition" It is really annoying. Go to a bookstore and you can't find anything there either. I will murder someone GAH!
